To be successful in prayer we must walk according to truth. The whole of our life must be in order all of the time - not just when we need something from God. What we desire, believe, think, say, and do must be according to truth. God makes four things available to help us align our lives.

God sends the Spirit of truth to guide and lead us into all the truth and show us things to come. Having a guide showing us the truth is invaluable for our success in everything we do, not just in prayer.

Father, we thank you in the name of Jesus that you send your Spirit of truth to guide and lead us into all the truth and show us things to come. We pray that you send forth your Spirit of truth to guide and lead us into all the truth and show us things to come (John 14:26, 16:13). 

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge and understanding. Without it we haven't even starting knowing and understanding the things we need to produce results. 

Father, we thank you in the name of Jesus for fear of the Lord. We choose fear of the Lord and ask you for it (Proverbs 1:7, 23-33). 

God makes his armor available to us so we can withstand the forces that come against us to attempt to deceive us and cause us to stray from the truth.

Father, we thank you in the name of Jesus for your armor. We put on your armor: truth, righteousness, the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the sword of your spirit (Ephesians 6:10-17).
